Assalamualaikum semua. Saya ingin menulis tentang budaya melayu untuk menyambut bulan bahasa. Pada pendapat saya, sebagai seorang pelajar, banyak yang telah saya pelajari tentang budaya melayu. Sebelum ini, saya kurang pasti akan budaya melayu. Saya hanya tahu tentang seni melayu iaitu tarian melayu seperti zapin. Dengan adanya bulan bahasa, saya baru tahu tentang adanya tarian melayu seperti ronggang.Dari segi alat muzik pula, saya hanya tahu tentang kompang yang sering dimainkan pada majlis perkahwinan. Tetapi, tahukah wahai teman-teman sekalian bahawa kompang itu diperbuat daripada kulit kambing? Alangkah terkejutnya saya apabila mengetahui tentang fakta tersebut.Makanan-makanan tradisional juga bukan hanya sekadar kuih-muih, ketupat,lontong tetapi ada juga kuih-muih seperti wajik dan sebagainya. Busana melayu adalah sesuatu amat dikenali ramai di kalangan melayu hingga ke hari ini.Ini adalah kerana setiap tahun, menjelangnya hari raya, semuanya akan bergaya dengan baju kurung mereka. Saya akur bahawa banyak yang saya telah pelajari tentang budaya melayu.

Salam sejahtera semua. Pada minggu lalu, sekolah saya telah mengadakan fiesta quiz bahasa dan budaya. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyambut hari yang terakhir bagi 'mother tongue week' di sekolah saya. Fiesta itu amat menyeronokkan. Ada juga sekumpulan pelajar-pelajar dari sekolah kejirannan seperti Sekolah Menegah Pioneer, Sekolah Menengah Jurong West dan Sekolah Menengah West Wood yang hadir di situ. Mereka semua digabungkan dengan Sekolah Menengah Boon Lay untuk pertandingan quiz bahasa dan budaya melayu. Apa yang menarik perhatian saya adalah peribahasa-peribahasa yang diuji melalui lukisan sahaja dan kemudian wakil dari sekolah-sekolah tersebut akan cuba untuk teka jawapannya. Dengan sedemikian, saya dapat menilai makna peribahasa-peribahasa tersebut dengan lebih terperinci. Selain itu, quiz tentang berbagai-bagai budaya melayu seperti muzik-muzik budaya melayu, makanan melayu, busana melayu, seni melayu dari segi tarian dan juga bahasa melayu seperti pantun adalah sesuatu yang saya pelajari. Bukan sahaja itu, di fiesta tersebut, guru-guru telah menyediakan beberapa perkataan Inggeris yang harus ditukarkan kepada perkataan melayu. Fiesta itu telah memperkenalkan tentang berbagai-bagai budaya melayu. Walaupun zaman sudah canggih, budaya melayu tetap kekal di hati. Budaya melayu adalah sesuatu yang dituruni dari generasi ke generasi yang harus kita kekalkan.

Pada hari Khamis lalu, saya mempelajari banyak tentang budaya melayu. Cikgu Shidah telah menghabiskan waktu kelas untuk mengajari kami tentang budaya melayu seperti busana, muzik, makanan tradisional dan juga cerita dongeng. Kemudian, setiap kumpulan diberikan sebuah topik.Saya kagum dengan salah sebuah kumpulan yang telah membuat tentang busana. Mereka telah menggunakan surat khabar dan jua creativiti mereka untuk menghasilkan pakaian tradisioanl. Walaupun diperalatkan surat khabar sahaja, pakaian tersebut kelihatan segak apabila dipakai oleh Hafeez. Pada pendapat saya, saya rasa salah sebuah aspek yang amat saya kagum tentang budaya melayu adalah pakaian tradisionalnya. Ini adalah kerana pakaian tersebut bukan sahaja nampak segak dan berwarna-warni, malah, ia juga seperti melambangkan kaum muslimin yang bersatu-padu. Ini membuatkan kaum-kaum lain yang tertarik kepada pakaian tradisional melayu.

everyday reached home late.

I guess, i took pity of this deserted blog and have decided to revive it, since the owner is too busy or maybe just lazy *insert evil smile*. So from my little knowledge about this laughing machine's (raihana) week, i will just post. Well, I know she has been revising this holidays week. Yesterday, 2/4 went to school to continue the Anti-drug project. We had fun, pasting the pictures on the white tiles. Basically, I had more fun disturbing Raihana, for an unknown reason she likes to laugh whenever she talks to me. Today the wall has been done! go check it out outside hall :D
So, after that headed to Frontier. I recommended for her some books and we headed to join Farhana and Adila at level two. Soon, Aqilah and me left Raihana there. So, I have no idea what she did after that. how about you ask her yourself? :D
Ey Bulimia, project work over! Alhamdulillah. Well, fun working with you except for your non stop laughing whenever, we talk. good luck for your upcoming exams.

WOOHOO!!! today fuuyoohh. a longg story. well, me, efa n ikahh went to mediacorp for the GOLDEN ticket. we meet at 6.15am. take bus 157. then we're lost at braddle rd. then went up n down the bridge. then take 157,patah balek. then reached Thomson rd. then walk till lornie rd then macritchie reservoir then joan rd. aft a few hours, reached the nearest shell station, buy drink. then reached mediacorp!! n guess wad? tat's not the place! take a cab, then saw my father outside mediacorp ther. so me,ikahh n efaa went out of the cab. jz a 5sec ride n we have to pay $3. wth! then my father took us to the actual place. haiya.. Well, juz now, went to my Uncle Yayang's wedding at jrg west. okay, gonna cut short abt ths event. Okay, firstly, we go to Tampiness, to the girl's side. Quite a long journey. can sleep. XD

Hey everyone.
it's been quite a long time since i update rite..
been busy.
okay so friday, i was nt feeling well.
it was 11.10 during sci lesson n suddenly i felt very cold
although it's very hot.
idk why. i couldnt concentrate on wad ms wong was saying.
i was irresolute at first bt then it was too irremediable.
so, i told shema abt it n she told ms wong.
Then went to the washroom with shema..
In the cubicle, everything surounding me was moving very fast.
it was so ironic. then shema was scared to death.
she was afraid if i fainted in the cubicle.
She said tat my lips were white, & the same colour as my skin. really ? hehs.
haha ;D . aft tat, went to sick bay n rested there.

Yesterday, i just gt bck frm camp..
soooo tiring man!
1st day, my grp late comer, kene run 1 round.. then the whole course kene pumping position for very long..then we haf the sing-a-long session.. then lets's just forward...at nite,go hiking at 8,we took bus..then reach near kent ridge at abt 8 plus.. then starts our hiking frm 8 plus pm till ard 6am like tat..damn tired!! then slip only for 2hrs then wake up...then kene pumping position again for alot of times... haix...lucky we endure... then at nite..campfire...woohoo!1my grp won the 1st place! then at 12am..finish campfire... then want to go slip bt cnt coz we did sumtin wrong.. kene pumping position again alot of times..then get punished then at 2 am then we slip. at 2.30am , me n some frens wake up.. we nid to do duty ... at 3 plus am then slip. at 5 plus , wake up, gt "fire drill" ... then kene pumping positon again for very long tyme.. then the instuctors still nt satisfied so we do pumping position in the rain for damn long.. tired!!!
then slip then wake up again at 6 plus... then 3 plus..go bck home...
alot of things to tell, bt lazy to write... endure is the best.. btw, hiking is the most "memorable"

Hello!
At last,gt the time to update.
im so busy with my sjab nco course.
its toughhhhh..ergh.. bt i learned a lot through the course.
the course took up my weekends!! the discipline master hot tau!heheXD
so far, alot of things happen bt lets just cut it short coz i havent memorise my nco exam
which is tis saturday. erghh!! its just so hard to memorise everything.
by the end, i think my head is gonna explode!!
aft weeks gg nco, tis saturday is the last course n then the week aft, the camp!
oh gosh! nightmares!!how am i going to survive?
hmm..i miss my mr.black..!!!! I cnt get my mind off him...
does tat sounds weird? ergh,nvrmd.
1 thing i will nvr forget in nco is the friendship i made with other schools.
there are 7 schs . cool kan?
i will nvr forget when the sir asked everyone to say "gd morning floor" . if u knew wad i meant.
haha.. my sir n maam rocks ah..
lucky tis saturday no footdrill coz my body ache alots!!
every nco , footdrill,2 hrs plus.penat kn?
& me n my two sistas went jogging just nw at 6 am.
fuyoooohh! penat. tat was our routine every morning.
nk tinggi nyer psl. haha XD
hopefully when sch reopens, i hope my height grows!

okay,last sunday,9/11, go bottle tree park wif cik bed n gang.
fun larh bile tangkap ikan. haha. i look like an idiot siol.
the fish just run away frm me. haha
aniwaes, it's tiring , then on tues, atirah n hilda come my house to do SJAB project.
